Gien Blue Peonies Small Museum Vase Romania children's roomsPivoines, the French word for peonies, is an entirely hand painted pattern first created in 1875. It quickly became a signature of Giens craftsmanship and tradition, with each piece signed by the painter. From the beginning, admirers of Gien were drawn to these peonies, generous in form and alive with color. The blue paint is the traditional color of all Gien prestige pieces and remains the cornerstone of this hertige brand's artistry.
